Children are our future. It takes a village to keep them safe, curious, and healthy.

As the youngest daughter of five, and an aunt to nine wonderful humans - MJ understands the impact of community care on the lives of children.

Long before becoming a Certified Doula, working with families and children has been an honored community role of mine. My life’s work as a yoga instructor, doula, a Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT), and most importantly my work as a family member and friend has allowed me to learn alongside the little people around me.

Children are naturally curious, and they learn so much through play and their environments. Yoga classes can be a wonderful outlet for children and teens with anxiety, ADHD, autism, or other behavioral concerns.

As a neurodivergent child, I was drawn to movement practices such as dance, cheer/gymnastics, and sports. They helped me release tension and stress held in my body in healthy, productive ways. I started practicing yoga in high school as a way to work through anxiety, depression, and a chaotic home environment.

As a neurodivergent adult, my movement practice has evolved but it still plays a major role in my self-regulation techniques.

My vision for Sacral Bloom Wellness is to continue to grow as a holistic wellness practice, and eventually offer somatic play therapy for children, teens, and adults looking for more engagement and self-regulation tools outside of traditional psychotherapy.
